Criteria 3
Criteria 3 - What kind of Media institution would distribute my Product and why.
My media product is a two minute film intro to a social realism film. During this film I have tried to show as many aspects that are commonly found in these types of films. For example my film is about an 18 year old boy who starts taking drugs and steals from a local drug dealer. The drug dealer then goes after him to get his money that he is owed. As this film is a social realism I decided to look at a distribution company that has done films like mine in the past. I found that Polygram filmed entertainment have distributed social realism films in the past such as ‘Trainspotting’ which is a film that is also about drug abuse. I chose this distributor over others as it is a European distributor which is good as these films are getting bigger in the European audience. This is the audience that I would like to aim my film at so this is why I would prefer a company like this to distribute my film.

Criteria 7
What have I learnt in the progression from my preliminary task to my full film Intro.
From re-watching my preliminary task I can see that there is a huge difference from my full film Inrto. For example even the way that I have filmed has changed, in my preliminary I shot all of each character’s shot’s at once which I found confusing when it came to using avid express pro to edit the clip. So when I shot my full film intro I shot each scene in order of appearance so that it was less confusing when editing as well as using it as a sort of time line so I could see my progress.
